Playback Help

To play back Real Audio files you need at least Real Player 8;
any earlier version might not play back correctly and you could be
advised to go to Real Networks for more information or to download extra software.
In this case go to Real.com and get the new free player which is now called Real One I believe.
You can configure this to play almost any type of audio file but you have to check the preferences.
These preferences are set by default to work in most cases but occasionally have to be tweaked.

WMA files should play automatically in Windows Media player but,
if you have an old version of Windows, you might need to up-date the player or,
at least, check the preferences (sometimes called options).
Again you might get a little window advising you to go somewhere to load down extra software.
Download the new player and it should fix the problem.

Either Media Player or Real Player can play back mp3s
but there are also many dedicated mp3 players around.
The one I have is called Winamp.

As far as I know the situation for a Mac or a different operating system is not much different.
You need a player which will work and you might need to configure it;
i.e. check the options/preferences.

Remember that there is loads of free software on magazine CDs
so it should be easy to pick up a player up-date off
one of these should you not wish to download one.
